After Marantochori we meet the village of Evgiros. Here, according to Dorpfeld, is the Pig Cave of Odysseus and to the east the beautiful deep bay. Sivota, which resembles a fjord, offers a safe anchorage to many boats. In the small harbour, renowned fish taverns, among the best on the island, operating all year round, attract many foreigners and locals.
